City wins derby from Manchester and qualifies for final League Cup

Manchester City has placed itself at the expense of Manchester United for the final of the League Cup. In the derby at Old Trafford, City was 2-0 too strong for compatriot United.

Although the ball was in the goal three times in the first half, it was still 0-0 at half time. All three goals, two from City and one from United, were disallowed for being offside.

In the final of the League Cup, Manchester City takes on Tottenham Hotspur. José Mourinho's team reached the final on Tuesday evening after a 2-0 win at Championship-club Brentford.
