RB Leipzig wins 3-2 and pushes United to the Europa League

RB Leipzig is again among the best sixteen in the Champions League after last season's success story. Last season's semi-finalist seemed to overclass Manchester United with a 3-0 lead and a disallowed goal, but in the end he narrowly won with 3-2.

In group G both Leipzig, United and Paris Saint-Germain were at nine points on the last match day and Basaksehir was last with three points.

The duel between PSG and Basaksehir was stopped in the first half because of an alleged racist incident. After long deliberation it was decided to stop the game and resume next Wednesday evening at 18.55.

Kluivert scores

Invalid Justin Kluivert made the 3-0 for Leipzig and seemed to give United the last move towards the Europa League. The other hits came from Amadou Haidara and AngeliƱo. Donny van de Beek invaded United during the break.

In the closing stages United returned via Bruno Fernandes (penalty kick) and Paul Pogba (header) and the English needed one hit to keep their hopes for the next round alive. But in the end United was just short.

In points United and PSG are equal. United has a better goal balance, but a negative mutual result with PSG. Paris Saint-Germain is therefore, with one more duel to play, sure of the next round.

The Russians took off with the ticket for the Europa League. Against Chelsea they drew 1-1, while Rennes did not manage to stunt against Seville in his own house. It was 3-1 for the Spaniards.

Karim Rekik, Oussama Idrissi and Nemanja Gudelj were in the base at Seville. Luuk De Jong stayed on the bench throughout the match. Chelsea lacked the injured Hakim Ziyech.
